Subsequent to listening to huge amounts of buzz about Illamasqua and its landing in select Sephora stores, I at last had the opportunity to test a portion of the brand's products. There are more shade choices - in each classification - than you can shake a stick at, so if Illamasqua is accessible at your nearby Sephora, I emphatically urge you to get in there and look at it.

What struck me more than anything else was the way extreme and immersed the hues were; to some degree like Make Up For Ever. I needed to get up all the eye shadows, even those I'd never wear, and take them home to mastermind and respect. There's simply something so tempting about the showcase; smooth dark bundling with wonderful technicolor squares of shading inside.

It would be unimaginable for me to give you the full once-over of this brand in one post, so I'll simply share a couple highlights.

The eye shadows that truly emerged for me were the dull soul, violets, and greens. Some splendid, some dusty and dull, however all excellent. You could without much of a stretch utilize these to draw off either a profound, sensational smokey eye or include a brilliant pop of shading. Top picks: Melodrama (matte profound turquoise), Intense (matte dull blue-green), Preen (matte purple), Fiasco (matte peacock blue), Never (matte naval force blue), Fatal (matte profound violet) Sadist (matte splendid regal blue) would make a lovely liner for a brilliant stroke on lower tops. Threat, a dim naval force blue cake eye liner, would make a flawless general eyeliner shade.

Furor and Follow Intense Lip Glosses are perfect brilliant pinks - Frenzy is a dim fuchsia and Follow is a red-pink. Temper is a dazzling tangerine. For a lighter recipe, I like Sheer Lip Gloss in hot pink Divine.

I've had red reddens on the brain since a week ago's post about the Shiseido rouge become flushed stick, and Illamasqua has two flawless offerings - Panic is a genuine cherry red and Tweak is a ruddy pink (both are powder recipes). For a lovely splendid pink with a delicate, dusty suggestion, get Charged.

One to some degree crackpot item that got my attention was the Liquid Metal, a metallic highlighting cream accessible in two shades, Enrapture (metallic copper) and Solstice (metallic gold). The portrayal demonstrates that it's intended to be utilized on the body, however I see a couple surveys on Sephora's site that discussion about utilizing it on eyes. I totally can't envision doing that - while Liquid Metal is attractive and beautifully metallic, it's somewhat oily and feels like it would relocate straight into the wrinkle. Not just that, the hues looked beautiful in the skillet however somewhat odd on skin (at any rate on my skin). Enchant, the copper, looked a bit orangey, and Solstice, the gold, really had an abnormal green cast that essentially discounts it as a body flash for me. I was stunned at how intensely pigmented both shades were, however; they instantly place me in the psyche of Goldfinger!

Have you experimented with Illamasqua yet? Get thee to Sephora! Regardless of the fact that you don't wind up purchasing anything (I didn't), the presentation is a visual banquet.
